Cartful

Privacy Policy

Effective 23 September 2026

Cartful is a shared grocery list and meal planner for households, with a library of over 1,000 meals. This page says what the app stores, why, who else handles it, and how to have it deleted. There is nothing else: no advertising, no analytics, no selling of data.

What Cartful stores

  • Your account: the name you type at sign-up, your email address, your password, which is stored only as a hash by our authentication provider, and the language you read the app in.
  • Your household: its name, its invite code, and who its members are.
  • What the household puts in the app: grocery items and their prices, favorites, meals and their ingredients, the week's meal plan, pantry items, the weekly budget, and reminder settings.
  • Invitations: the email address of each person a member invites, so the invite can be sent and shown as pending until it is accepted.

Cartful does not read your contacts, location, photos, or anything else on your phone. Reminders are scheduled on the phone itself, so no notification token leaves it.

Why

  • To sign you in and keep your data yours.
  • To show the same list, plan, and pantry to everyone in your household. Every member of a household sees all of that household's content, including who added what.
  • To send the emails the app needs, in your language: the sign-up confirmation, password resets, and household invites.
  • To show reminders at the times you set.

Who else handles it

Cartful runs on services that store or move data on its behalf, each bound by its own terms:

  • Supabase hosts the database and handles sign-in. The data is stored in Supabase's Seoul region.
  • Resend delivers the app's emails.
  • Cloudflare serves this website and the invite pages.

No one else receives your data. It is never sold, and it is not used for advertising.

How long it is kept

Your account and its content stay until you delete them. Deleting an account removes its profile and, where it owned a household, that household and everything in it. An accepted invite keeps only the record that it was accepted.

Deleting your account

In the app, open Settings and choose Delete Account. Your account and its data are removed at once, as described above. You can also email privacy@ekarimi.com from the address on the account; a deletion requested that way is completed within 30 days and confirmed by reply.

Children

Cartful is not directed at children under 13, and accounts are not knowingly created for them. If one has been, email the address above and it will be removed.

Security

Data travels over encrypted connections. Each household's content can be read only by its members, enforced by row-level rules in the database rather than by the app alone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new effective date. A change that affects what is collected or shared is also announced in the app.
